How to use this book

This is more like about me - some habits are just hard to break.

TL;DR. Read and digest, get the concept and Google when things don't work.

I started this manual in July 2021 on Github, hoping that someone would hire me through the platform for my set of skill. But the more I dig the more I found that programming or coding is not what I am after. Instead, writing in the form of a book would be a much more suitable tool for my purpose of logging my journey in transforming from a "molecular biologist" to a "biostatisticians" in the job market sense.

This should have been the very first line of the manual and I did not save the best for last. Do not take this manual too literal if by the time you come this has been published for more than 1 year. Not until in the mature stage of my learning did I not realize how the rapid change of the field could impact this writing, as in I know things are moving fast but little do I realize something merely 2 years old could be so obsoleted that one has to read the updated manuals to learn the old tricks again. This caused me to extensively modified the then existing entries and steer me to be more cautious when suggesting readings and making remarks.

That said, I love writing, and it comes natural. I don't think I will give up on updating, if fate allows me to do so.
